Chelsea Stewart, AGPCNP-C

Chelsea Stewart, AGPCNP-C, is the founder and provider at Peak Performance Pain Management, where she is committed to providing compassionate, individualized pain care with an emphasis on improving each patient’s function and overall quality of life.

A Different Path to Pain Management

Chelsea’s path to pain management is anything but traditional. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked in forensic anthropology and as an autopsy technician, with professional experiences that took her from the United States to places including Serbia, Lithuania, and Italy.

Her work in forensic medicine gave her a unique perspective on the human body, but it also exposed her firsthand to the devastating consequences that can occur when medications— particularly opioids—are prescribed without appropriate oversight, education, and consideration of the individual patient.

A Philosophy Shaped by Experience

Those experiences continue to shape her philosophy of care today. Chelsea believes that effective pain management and responsible prescribing are not mutually exclusive.

Her goal is to work collaboratively with each patient to understand their pain, determine which treatments and therapies are appropriate for them, and develop a realistic plan that balances pain relief, function, safety, and quality of life.

Care Without Judgment

Chelsea believes patients living with chronic pain deserve to be heard and treated without judgment. Pain can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s life, and she values the trust patients place in her when they openly discuss their symptoms, struggles, concerns, and goals.

Her approach is compassionate but thoughtful: patients should feel supported and respected while receiving care that is medically responsible and tailored to their individual needs.

“The goal isn’t simply to treat a pain score. It is to help patients move better, function better, participate more fully in their lives, and achieve the best quality of life possible.”

And as Chelsea likes to put it, her career has taken her from working with the dead to caring for the living—a transition that has given her an especially deep appreciation for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in her patients’ lives.

Practice Manager

Amber

As the Practice Manager at Peak Performance Pain Management, Amber plays an integral role in creating the welcoming, respectful, and patient-centered environment that defines the practice. She oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic while helping ensure that every patient who walks through the door feels comfortable, respected, and supported throughout their care.

Experience That Shaped Her Perspective

Amber brings a unique professional background to her role. Prior to joining Peak Performance, she worked in both the funeral home industry and the local jail system.

Through those experiences, she witnessed firsthand the devastating effects that substance misuse, overdose, and unsafe medication practices can have on individuals, families, and the community.

Compassion + Accountability

That perspective has given Amber a deep appreciation for Peak Performance’s commitment to safe and responsible prescribing practices. She strongly supports the practice’s philosophy that effective pain management should prioritize both quality of life and patient safety, with clear expectations, appropriate monitoring, and open communication.

A Place Without Judgment

Amber believes that responsible pain management should never come at the expense of compassion. Patients living with chronic pain can encounter judgment and stigma simply because they seek treatment or require medication as part of their care.

From a patient’s first phone call to each visit thereafter, her goal is to help create an environment where people feel safe, heard, respected, and treated as individuals.

Creating the Patient Experience

As Practice Manager, Amber helps translate those values into the everyday patient experience. She works to ensure that the clinic remains organized, accessible, and welcoming while supporting the high standards of professionalism and accountability expected at Peak Performance.

“Compassion and accountability can coexist. Patients living with pain deserve a place where they feel safe, heard, respected, and treated without judgment.”

For Amber, managing the practice is about more than keeping an office running—it is about helping create a healthcare environment where compassion and accountability can coexist, and where patients living with pain know they have a place they can turn to without fear of stigma or judgment.
